I am running for the 22-month Selectman seat in Orange.

I am concerned about the direction of our town. We have high property taxes, yet we are not seeing the level of services we should expect. Our roads are in poor condition, and there are ongoing concerns about water quality, among other issues. These are basic responsibilities of town government, and they directly affect residents’ daily lives. These challenges have been discussed for years, but it is time to make real progress through a more serious, long-term approach.

My wife, Ann, and I are building our life here, and I want to help make Orange a place where families can earn a decent living and live with dignity. I want to build a town where my children will want to stay and raise their own families. Too many young people feel they must leave because opportunities are limited.

I currently work as a trial attorney for a federal law enforcement agency and hold a bachelor’s degree in political science from UMass Amherst and a JD from Boston College Law School. I previously served on the Orange Selectboard and Elementary School Committee, and I am ready to serve again.

I have a busy career and a growing family, but I am running because I believe Orange can do better. I am committed to responsible budgeting, growing our local economy, and making smart investments that improve services and quality of life.

I respectfully ask for your vote at the Special Town Election on Monday, May 4, at the Ruth B. Smith Auditorium.
