Gill, MA – Wayne E. Pearson, 75, of Main Rd., passed away Friday April 3, 2026, at home. He was born in Greenfield September 7, 1950, the son of Ray and Marion (Locke) Pearson. Wayne attended local school before entering the Marines. He obtained the rank of CPL, served from October 1, 1968, until January 1, 1971, when he was honorably discharged.
Wayne worked in production for Pella Windows for many years.
He enjoyed music, playing his guitar, the outdoors and fishing and spending time with his family. He was a diehard Vikings and Yankee fan.
Wayne leaves his wife of 43 years, the former Elaine Bergiel, his daughters; Amber Garbiel and her husband Charles and Rebecca Allen. He also leaves his grandchildren, Jadzia Garbiel, 8; Meekka Baker, 11; Phoebe Harkness, 19; and Sakarie Hughes, 30; along with his sister, Sandra Hogan, brother in-law and sister in-law Ray and Peg Bergiel, and his cousin and best friend, Andy Pearson and his wife Anna, and his nieces and nephews, Brian and Lorelei Pearson, Tim and Sherry Trask, Shane and Denise Trask and Brandon and Bri Hogan.
Besides his parents Wayne was predeceased by his grandson Elijah Harkness in 2024 at the age of 19.
Service will be private.
