7:16 a.m. — Reporting party from Chapman Street reports one of her neighbor’s dogs has been consistently getting out and coming into her yard. Collie-type dog, black and white. Reporting party called back to say the owner came out and the dog is back inside. Advised her neighbors are making similar complaints about the same dog. Call placed to the animal control officer, message left and email sent.
10:13 a.m. — Caller reports a male party with a dog is being confrontational with people at the Greenfield Public Library on Main Street. Male party is upset that another patron was “eyeing” him. Other patron admitted to antagonizing and agreed to move to a different area in the library.
10:26 a.m. — Reporting party at Oak Courts states her attorney, whom she just spoke to by phone, was rude to her and she would like to report it. She advised she is not going to attend a scheduled court hearing due to the attorney’s behavior. Party was advised to contact the court about the issue.
4:41 p.m. — Two males wearing yellow reflective vests are reportedly going door-to-door on Briar Way. When asked for their credentials, they refused to provide them. Parties were identified but were unable to produce a permit. Parties were advised to obtain a permit and were moved along.
9:59 p.m. — Report of an unwanted person at Swift Cleaners on Main Street. Officers sent. Wendy Perry, 52, homeless of Greenfield, was arrested on a charge of trespassing.
Tuesday, March 10
10:50 a.m. — Greenfield Community College dispatcher had a student walk in stating they heard what sounded like four gunshots in the area. Officer sent to check the area. Nothing observed.
12:57 p.m. — Reporting party states she dropped her wallet at The Textile Co. on Power Square after being bumped into by an elderly woman and she is now missing $20. Unknown if the woman took it or if it was lost inside the store. Reporting party just wanted it on record in case police have been getting reports of a woman doing this in other places.
6:00 p.m. — Vashon E. Shaw, 52, of Lower Street in Shelburne Falls, was arrested by CVS Pharmacy on Federal Street on a charge of operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license (subsequent offense).
Wednesday, March 11
8:34 a.m. — Shoplifting reported at Dollar General on Colrain Road. Officer to investigate. Caller reports a male and a female left with two bags full of unknown merchandise. Left in a car with a third person, exited toward Colrain Road. Report issued.
1:14 p.m. — Officer attempting to serve a warrant on Conway Street. Laura Ann Brown, 47, of Main Street in Greenfield, was arrested on two warrants.
7:02 p.m. — Officer attempting to serve a warrant on Bayberry Court. Phillip Jacobsen, 37, of Bayberry Court in Greenfield, was arrested on a warrant.
Thursday, March 12
3:47 p.m. — Officer attempting to serve a warrant on Federal Street. Phillip D. Cameron, 41, of Davis Street in Greenfield, was arrested on four warrants.
4:56 p.m. — Officer attempting to serve a warrant on Conway Street. Joseph F. Legere, 44, of Conway Street in Greenfield, was arrested on a warrant.
9:49 p.m. — Caller on Standish Court states he found an injured owl at work and was transporting it home, unsure who to contact for assistance. Caller was advised to contact Massachusetts Environmental Police for rehabilitation information.
Friday, March 13
12:44 p.m. — Suspicious activity reported at School and Leonard streets. A black truck with Michigan plates is parked on the corner with a male party going from one house to the next wearing a reflective vest. Caller finds it suspicious. Party was not speaking with homeowners, mapping lines. Gone on arrival.
3:58 p.m. — Traffic vehicle at Arch and Chapman streets. Andre Scales, 48, of Beacon Street in Greenfield, was arrested on charges of operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license (subsequent offense), failure to stop/yield, and driving at a rate of speed greater than what was reasonable and proper.
3:58 p.m. — Officer attempting to serve a warrant on Chapman Street. Maryann E. Milotte, 51, of Chapman Street in Greenfield, was arrested on a warrant.
11:43 p.m. — Caller at the Mobil gas station on the Mohawk Trail reports there is a white Nissan Maxima with five or six people in the front seats of the car and possibly one person in the trunk. Reporting party was calling about the trunk occupant’s safety. Caller felt he was there voluntarily. Gas station attendant also reported the male seemed to be in the trunk voluntarily. Neither party took down the vehicle’s license plate number.
Saturday, March 14
10:47 a.m. — Officer out with a vehicle in the pull-off area on Nash’s Mill Road. Vehicle was unsecured with the windows open and keys inside. Party stated her vehicle died last night and she pulled it in there to get it off the road. She was advised it’s best to notify police when leaving a vehicle at a property she does not own as it was about to be towed. Owner was in the process of making arrangements to get the vehicle removed.
10:08 p.m. — Reporting party from Maple Street reports hearing footsteps and a loud bang, as if someone tried to push in his door, then heard footsteps walking away. Officers checked the perimeter of the building and did not see anything of concern.
Sunday, March 15
2:23 a.m. — Report of trespassing individuals at the Greenfield Skate Park on Chapman Street. Two juveniles out at the skate park riding a scooter and a pedal kart. Juveniles were moved along, both walked home.
1:42 p.m. — Caller reports hearing large amounts of gunfire. Possibly from a gun range in Deerfield. Officer confirmed the sound was coming from Deerfield.
5:10 p.m. — City ordinance violation reported at the Community Health Center of Franklin County on Main Street. Vern Nicholas Archer, 55, homeless of Greenfield, was arrested on a charge of open container/drinking alcohol in public.
