The Mahar Regional girls basketball team lost to Drury, 58-21, in the Western Mass. Class C semifinals in the Berkshires on Saturday.

The fourth-seeded Senators trailed 36-12 at halftime against the top-seeded Blue Devils. Druryโ€™s defense put a lot of pressure on Mahar, and it led to turnovers.

โ€œTheir pressure gave us a lot of trouble,โ€ Mahar coach Francis Phillips said. โ€ The turnovers put us in a tough spot early in the game. They capitalized off turnovers and built up a lead. Have to give them credit, they made a lot of shots and have a strong team.โ€

Hayden Comeau scored 10 points for the Senators. Nastasia Sanders added seven points for Mahar.
