Turners Falls, MA – Lori Anne (Bordeaux) Bastarache, 68, of 23 N St. passed away Friday December 26, 2025, at home. She was born in Montague, September 21, 1957, the daughter of the late Lionel and Marion (Welcome) Bordeaux. She attended local schools and graduated from Turners Falls High School Class of 1975.
In 1976, Lori married her high school sweetheart, Richard Bastarache, they lived the majority of their life in Turners Falls where they raised their family. Lori was a dedicated mother to her four children Maranda Davids (Garrick) of Brockton, MA, Jaclyn Corbett (Ryan) of Scottsdale, AZ, Adam Bastarache of Millers Falls, MA and Eric Bastarache (Rachel) of Woburn, MA and loved being Grammie to her two grandchildren Abigail and Garrison Davids.
She prioritized being a mom and throughout her life she enjoyed working part time at King’s Dept store, as a waitress at the Deerfield Inn and Countree Living & Dining, a bank teller at Greenfield Co-Operative bank and later in life as a school bus driver at Kuzmeskus bus company.
She was the co-captain of the high school cheerleading team and used those skills being her children’s biggest cheerleader at countless sporting events. She never went anywhere without her camera and loved taking pictures of everything, especially nature and her flowers.
She lovingly dedicated many hours to working in her flower garden where she got great joy in seeing her hard work blossom to life. She loved being in nature and taking countless walks with her sisters.
She loved listening to music and always had the radio on, whenever there was music she loved to dance, she enjoyed going to concerts, traveling, attending craft fairs, going out to lunch and of course, shopping.
She will be remembered for her unwavering devotion to her family, her sense of humor, love for a risqué joke, and fun-loving spirit.
She is survived by her five siblings Janice Fuller, David Bordeaux and his wife Barbara, Alan Bordeaux, Denis Bordeaux, and Bonnie Root, her brother-in-law Norm Gerber and many nieces and nephews.
Lori was predeceased by her sisters Jeanne Gerber, Elizabeth Kellyhouse, and Linda Evans.
Calling hours will be held Wednesday, December 31, 2025, from 10-12PM followed by services at noon at the Kostanski Funeral Home, 1 Kostanski Square, Turners Falls. Burial will follow in Springdale Cemetery.
Memorial contributions in Lori’s name may be sent to the Nature Conservancy or the American Diabetes Association.
