Kudos to Jen Davenport for expressing the frustration of many of in Franklin County over the lack of retail shopping availability in Greenfield [“Basic needs hard to find in Greenfield,” Recorder, Aug. 20]. We had many stores years ago. The opponents of WalMart were sure that it would drive out Wilson’s and other stores. Well look around. Wilson’s is gone and so are all the others.
