7:16 a.m. — Caller reports a traffic sign appears to have been hit and is leaning into traffic at Bank Row and Olive Street. Department of Public Works notified. Metal crosswalk sign was found leaning toward Bank Row. DPW secured the sign back in place.

1:47 p.m. — Suspicious activity reported at Energy Park on Miles Street. Observed male and female on the steps of the stage, male with an open container of alcohol and also possible obscured sexual activity. One lightly consumed open container. Can was disposed of. Parties were reminded of city ordinances and the presence of cameras.

Wednesday, July 9

6:24 a.m. — Reporting party from Petty Plain Road states he noticed at 4:30 a.m. on his way to work that his flag was torn off his flagpole. Party states he’s noticed people cutting through his yard and looking into his truck recently but has not called police because nothing has happened. No cameras on the property. Requesting officers conduct premise checks. Will be installing cameras soon.

8:51 a.m. — Officer on detail at the covered bridge on Eunice Williams Drive reports a tractor trailer needs assistance backing up and is causing a traffic jam. Services rendered.

1:03 p.m. — Report of lost property on White Birch Avenue. Tan wallet with an ID.

Thursday, July 10

2:15 a.m. — Caller reports a vehicle is going house to house on Meadow Lane and the occupant is going through people’s garbage. Officer sent. No vehicles or people located.

7:37 a.m. — Kristina Michelle Willette, 50, of Grove Street in Greenfield, was arrested on Grove Street on a warrant.

7:47 a.m. — Officer was flagged down by a citizen at Conway and Phillips streets. Officer assisted with a flat tire.

9:02 a.m. — Richard Anthony Scialdone, 61, of School Street in Greenfield, was arrested at Hope and Prospect streets on a warrant as well as on a charge of possession of a Class B drug (subsequent offense).

9:47 a.m. — Shoplifting reported at Cumberland Farms on Federal Street. James Donald Larson, 41, homeless of Greenfield, was arrested on two warrants as well as on a charge of shoplifting by concealing merchandise.

11:06 a.m. — Walk-in to the station believes she observed a human arm in the roadway on Turners Falls Road. Showed pictures she had taken and sent via email. Units attempted to locate the object but were unable to find it. Upon close examination of the picture, it is believed to belong to an animal.

Friday, July 11

11:26 a.m. — Caller reports seeing a mother on a bicycle with an infant on the back and another child on a bicycle with another infant on the back at Pierce and Federal streets. Caller believes the children are in distress. Officer reports all OK.

6:02 p.m. — Suspicious activity reported on Meadow Wood Drive. Caller reports her Ring camera showed a person near her front door with a flashlight last night. States the flashlight was too bright to see the individual. Incident documented. Reporting party was advised to call 911 next time.

Saturday, July 12

1:01 a.m. — Report of a breaking and entering on Iris Court. Caller states a female just crawled in his window. Sounds of male and female voices heard, arguing about keys and going through someone’s phone. Male voice can be heard saying “get out” several times, sounds physical. Female admitted to officers she broke into her ex’s apartment through a first-floor window. Male advised they broke up but she keeps trying to reach out to him. Roseannie Perez, 37, of Forbes Court in Greenfield, was arrested on a charge of breaking and entering into a building in the nighttime for a felony.

4:04 p.m. — Suspicious activity reported at Big Y on the Mohawk Trail. Involved parties, who were transferring firearms, were advised not to conduct such purchases in public/in an open area. Advised of consequences.

7:17 p.m. — Reporting party states the door to the Hair Studio on Main Street is unlocked, believes there is someone inside. Building secured, key holder on scene. Services rendered.

Sunday, July 13

10:11 a.m. — Report of a person dumping a white trash bag in a private dumpster at The Spirit Shoppe on Federal Street. License plate and vehicle description given. Made contact with Montague Police, who will go to the involved party’s home and have her remove the trash.

8:50 p.m. — Caller from Rockland Road reports a feral kitten was climbing on her window. Referred to another agency.
