9:38 a.m. — Report of a skunk trapped in the skatepark on First Street. Message left for the animal control officer who can arrive in an hour. Skunk was captured in a box and released by the river. No need for the animal control officer to respond.
11:59 a.m. — Report of a disruptive female at the Franklin Area Survival Center on Fourth Street yelling and taking food from the pantry. Peace restored.
4:04 p.m. — Reporting party from Park Villa Drive states the woman in the apartment above her is throwing furniture around and causing a disturbance. Quiet upon police arrival. Officers spoke with both parties.
Tuesday, July 1
10:02 a.m. — Reporting party states someone has taken a sewer cover off on Millers Falls Road due to an issue at a couple houses. Reporting party is requesting traffic control. Department of Public Works notified. No people found in the area and no cover disturbed. Road is open with no issues.
5:59 p.m. — Reporting party states there is a newer Enterprise truck parked on Avenue A outside his business with no plates and a couple guys acting weird. Would like an officer to check it out. Driver is just waiting for a new load. Reporting party understood.
Wednesday, July 2
1:37 p.m. — Reporting party states he was out for a jog on Meadow Road and could hear a smoke or carbon monoxide alarm sounding from one of the houses. Attempted to knock, but no answer. Car is in the driveway. Shelburne Control Dispatch Center contacted.
1:47 p.m. — Reporting party states an accident occurred with unknown injuries at Third Street and Avenue A. Second caller states she was just involved in the crash and the other vehicle took off. Reportedly a newer white SUV, possibly a Toyota RAV4, with an older female driver and heavy rear-end damage.
Thursday, July 3
2:50 a.m. — Caller reports loud yelling and thudding/banging noises coming from outside a location on 11th Street, near the alleyway. Second caller reports hearing yelling, screaming and slamming of some type of objects/items. Officer advises involved parties were arguing about vehicle issues. Situation mediated.
7:26 p.m. — Reporting party from J Street states a male party is in the driveway repeatedly honking his horn. Officers spoke to the involved male, advised him of the complaint and told him to stop.
Friday, July 4
2:43 a.m. — Caller from Unity Street reports her dog ran out of the house a few minutes ago. Reporting party described the dog as a small black Scottish terrier named Elizabeth. Dog is tagged, however the number on its collar is an old one.
8:56 a.m. — Reporting party from Walnut Street states a small black dog is in her yard wandering around. Officer advised. Dog located, being transported to the shelter. Shelter advises the owner will get the dog tomorrow since it’s not up to date on vaccines. Dog is 16 years old and hard of hearing. Lost early this morning at around 2 a.m.
5:03 p.m. — Olivia Grace Tardie, 30, of Oakman Street in Turners Falls, was arrested on charges of operating a motor vehicle with a revoked registration, uninsured motor vehicle and unregistered motor vehicle following a traffic stop on Unity Street.
Saturday, July 5
9:07 a.m. — Mail carrier advising the sign on Greenfield Savings Bank on Avenue A states it is closed but all the doors are wide open. Officer advised. Reporting party called back stating he shut the door behind him and it appears to be locked. Building secure.
5:33 p.m. — Report of an older white male on a scooter on Avenue A with an open container of alcohol. Officer unable to locate.
Sunday, July 6
4:40 p.m. — Officer requested to remove 15 people from the water on Green Pond Road. Parties moved along and advised.
10:52 p.m. — Multiple calls about a possible fire in the dumpster and on the surrounding ground on Avenue A. Officers advised and Fire Department responding. Upon arrival, officer advises the dumpster fire is threatening one structure. Shelburne Control Dispatch Center advised.
