CONWAY — Eight residents were nominated to fill nine governmental positions at the town’s annual caucus Monday night in the Town Hall.

John P. O’Rourke, was again nominated to the Selectboard; Malcolm J. Corse, as assessor; William H. Mcloughlin, to the Board Of Health; Janice E. Warner and Philip L. Kantor to the local School Committee; Joseph C. Strzegowski and Beth Girshman, both to the Planning Board, with Strzegowski replacing David Chichester, who will not run again; Walter R. Goodridge was nominated for the tree Tree Warden position, and J. Nicholas Filler for the position of moderator.

All positions, except for town moderator, require three years of service. Town moderators serve for one year. In addition, Ann Taylor Gibson, a member Board Of Health, has decided not to run. No one was nominated in her place.

Town Clerk Virginia Allis Knowlton noted that, while nominated, candidates can choose not to run. For those still interested in throwing their hat into the ring, nomination papers — requiring at least 25 signatures from town residents who weren’t at the caucus — are available at the town office. The deadline to submit nominations is March 23.

Conway’s annual election will be held May 11 at Town Hall.
