Vehicle break-ins, intruder reported

NORTHFIELD — The Northfield Police Department has received several reports of suspicious activity in the West Northfield area recently.

Along with vehicles being entered during the night, the department has received reports of a “possible prowler,” and possibly a residence being entered while the homeowner was inside.

In a notice released by the Northfield Police Department, Chief Robert Leighton encouraged residents to secure their homes and vehicles, and, if they have trail cameras, to use them to monitor their properties. The department has also added extra patrols.
