ERVING — One patient was transported to the hospital after a car crash in Erving Friday night.
According to a post on the Orange Fire Department’s Facebook page, one person was transported via helicopter with trauma injuries.
The individual was taken to Baystate Medical Center in Springfield.
The extent of the patient’s injuries are unknown. The Orange Fire Department, which responded with an ambulance to the scene, made a statement that names or specific details “of any incident will not be provided out of courtesy for the patient and family.”
The accident happened on Route 2 late Friday evening. A section of the road was closed around 10:30 p.m. to allow crews to maneuver.
