6:55 p.m. — Officer requested to assist the Turners Falls Fire Department for a report of smoke coming from a stove in a garage on Eighth Street. Police mirandized an individual and took them to the station for an interview. Police advised that stolen dirt bikes were secured in the sally port.

7:14 p.m. — Caller from Federal Street requested response to a chimney fire he believed to be out, but wanted to confirm. Transferred to Shelburne Control.

Thursday, Dec. 29

4:10 p.m. — Caller from East Taylor Hill Road states her husband, who has dementia and memory issues, left their son’s house in Wenham that morning around 9:30 a.m. and had not returned home. He later came home, explaining he had fallen asleep in the garage.

4:48 p.m. — Police conducted a warrant arrest on Benjamen Luke Stennes, 27, of Fourth Street in Turners Falls. Bail was set at $1,500, plus fees. He was transported to the Franklin County Jail and House of Correction.

Friday, Dec. 30

3:29 p.m. — Caller from Central Street states there is a female threatening to harm or kill him. Female could be heard yelling in the background before the line went dead. Situation was mediated; parties separated.

5:08 p.m. — Caller near the intersection of Fourth and L streets reports a large white dog gets tied outside and barks all day long.

Saturday, Dec. 31

4:15 a.m. — State Police trooper at Highland Avenue in Northfield called Montague Police for backup while waiting for a Northfield officer. State Police took one person into custody.

1:21 p.m. — Caller from Federal Street states she was out for a walk and her boyfriend was following her, making her more upset. Police provided her with courtesy transport to Montague City Road.

Sunday, Jan. 1

6:23 p.m. — Caller from Turners Falls Road reports someone shot paintballs at his house while driving by in a car. He believed the car to be heading toward Montague Center. Caller then called back to say the vehicle went by again and the individual hit his roommate’s truck with paintballs.

11:28 p.m. — Caller from G Street reports someone stole $800 from him via Cash App. Caller neglected to provide the names of the involved people he believed to have taken his money.

Monday, Jan. 2

11:51 a.m. — Caller from G Street states her 19-year-old daughter has not been heard from since Dec. 30. Involved female was entered as missing into the National Crime Information Center. Caller’s uncle called requesting addresses for attached parties in an effort to find the missing person himself, but was told police couldn’t provide addresses.

8:15 p.m. — Caller driving along Route 63 toward Hadley reported a blue Volkswagen Beetle driving erratically. Vehicle was owned by and registered to her ex-boyfriend, who came to her house and left again after drinking. He was then reportedly driving around downtown, but police patrolling downtown noticed nothing over the course of 30 minutes.

Tuesday, Jan. 3

9:44 p.m. — Caller from Ripley Road requests their boyfriend be removed from the house. Police advised it was a verbal argument over rent money. A verbal warning was issued and the boyfriend left for the night.
