Bloody Brook and The Falls Fight with Peter A. Thomas on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. at Conway Historical Society Museum, 50 Main St. Dr. Thomas will discuss his recent archaeology and research related to King Philip’s War, in particular the massacre at Bloody Brook in South Deerfield and the Turners Falls fight of May 19, 1676. The Sunderland Public Library hosts a free Qigong class every Monday morning from 10 to 11 a.m. This class is led by Dvora Eisenstein, who has been a student of Master Yang Jwing-Ming for 30 years and has been teaching Qigong for 15 years. Her practice is focused on softness and centeredness. Qigong is a form of mindful light exercise that focuses on calming the mind, improving balance, and enhancing health. Participants are guided through slow movements, breathing techniques, and focused intention. This practice is suitable for all levels of ability and age, and participants are welcome to drop into this free class at any time.

Free Reiki Sessions: Breast cancer patients and survivors in Franklin County are eligible to receive free individual Reiki sessions, thanks to a grant from Rays of Hope. Reiki practitioners will offer sessions on Saturday mornings at 474 Main St., Suite 2. Reiki is described as a healing energy therapy, which can help provide relaxation and energy, decrease pain or anxiety, and promote physical, mental and emotional health.
