Trivia Night at Cameron’s Winery

NORTHFIELD — Dickinson Memorial Library is holding a trivia night at Cameron’s Winery at 105 Main St. on Thursday, Jan. 26 from 6:30 to 8 p.m.

Individuals age 21 and up are invited to come with a team of up to five, or they can be matched with a team upon arrival. Questions will be asked by Northfield Selectboard members Jack Spanbauer, Julia Blyth and Tracy Rogers. Wine, beer and appetizers will be available for purchase, or guests can pick up and bring food from Antonio’s Pizza. No other outside food or beverages will be allowed. Future trivia nights will be held on Feb. 16 and March 16.

Breakfast series to discuss proposed zoning changes

NORTHFIELD — The Northfield Council on Aging is sponsoring a presentation on the proposed revisions to the zoning bylaw as part of a “This is Your Town” breakfast series on Friday, Jan. 27, at 9 a.m. in Town Hall.

Jack Spanbauer, chairman of the Northfield Selectboard, is the featured presenter.

A $2.50 donation for breakfast is suggested, and reservations are encouraged. Call the Council on Aging at 413-498-2186 to reserve a seat.

Cost estimated for voting machine

BERNARDSTON — Bernardston Town Clerk Paul Luther presented the Board of Selectmen with a cost estimate for purchasing a new voting machine during a Wednesday meeting.

Luther said a new machine would cost around $3,000, and the supplier, LHS Associates, would allow the town to try it out during the annual town election at no cost. The board didn’t approve or reject the idea during Wednesday’s meeting.
