BERNARDSTON — A plethora of books, crafts and trinkets cover the front desk at Cushman Library, signaling the start of the Friends of Cushman Library’s annual winter raffle.
The raffle, which features 51 items donated by library trustees and patrons, has been raising programming funds for the library for 11 years, according to Cushman Library Director Karen Stinchfield.
Proceeds support activities like weekly story hour, summer reading programs, performances and workshops for children and adults.
The drawing takes place Dec. 21 at 1 p.m., making the raffle a great way to win a variety of Christmas gifts, Stinchfield said. “We like to have something for everyone. It’s just a groovy assortment of things.”
Tickets are $1 each, $5 for six, $10 for 12, $15 for 18 and $20 for 25. Tickets will be available up until the drawing time and a full list of items can be viewed at the Friends of the Cushman Library’s Facebook page.
