9:28 a.m. — Caller reporting a tree with wires down on Wonsey Road; Shelburne Control was notified and will contact Montague Center Fire Department; Eversource notified.
11:02 a.m. — Caller from area of Greenfield and Randall roads states he was cycling with a friend, and the friend has fallen, and has cuts to his face and knees; Medcare spoke to the officer and then was on scene; officer brought the rider’s bike to the station, and placed it in the sally port.
4:36 p.m. — Reporting person states there is an extremely large tree branch blocking the road at Greenfield Cross Road; officer to check and was able to remove it from the road.
8:11 p.m. — Caller from Court Square reports there is smoke filling her home; Montague Center Fire Department was notified, and on officers arrival found that neighbors were having a small cooking fire.
9:19 a.m. — Control reports an alarm activation on New Athol Road in multiple zones; officer responded and found the building secure, and believed to have been set off by a power outage.
11 a.m. — Report from Harrison Avenue from where Control got a call about a tree across the road blocking the travel lanes; officer responded and the tree was removed with the assistance of three good Samaritans.
6:10 p.m. — Control reports the Fire Department is responding to King Street for a report of an individual burning trash; on arrival the Fire Department didn’t find any violations.
8:10 p.m. – Caller from Battle Street requesting Control to have an officer return the call regarding a dog bite; report taken.
7:58 a.m. — Accident on Munson Street, two vehicles involved; officer and Fire Department sent, two vehicles involved, one report stated injuries involved, Medcare notified and then on scene and subject evaluated; one vehicle to be towed.
7:59 a.m. — Larceny reported at Leyden Woods Management Office at Bayberry Court; from where the caller reports a trailer was broken into and a printer was stolen; officer found the trailer was secured at 2 p.m. Friday, and this morning a worker found the lock cut off the trailer; the desk had been gone through, and the printer was taken, type unknown; workers also found the fencing behind apartment 28-44 knocked down; officers checking for possible prints at the trailer.
8:27 a.m. — Illegal dumping at the trail head by Poet’s Seat parking area on Mountain Road where a caller reports five TVs dumped at this location and smashed so there is glass everywhere; officer’s found four TVs were smashed on top of gate posts; dispatch was requested to notify the DPW for cleanup; report issued.
1:54 p.m. — Suspicious activity reported in the area of the former WMECO building/property on Shelburne Road, where the reporting person says homeless people are camping in the area; officers were unable to locate the tent owner, no one around, and unable to confirm the owner at this time.
3:12 p.m — Walk-in reports making arrangements with the property officer to turn in ammunition from Wisdom Way Self Storage off Wisdom Way; items taken and placed into evidence locker.
3:56 p.m. — Report from Cumberland Farms on Main Street where the caller states that a silver, four-door sedan, is in the parking lot, where occupants appear to be cooking heroin; officers sent, and found the subjects were counting change; no drugs.
6:33 p.m. — Report from the Circle K gas station on the Mohawk Trail where a male from a white Jeep was littering in the parking lot; when an employee came out to address the issue, the operator tried to assault the employee; a female from the vehicle tried to stop it; the caller states the vehicle tried to strike the employee, and then left going west on Route 2; the vehicle plate came back as a rental; Shelburne Control was advised, and short time later Shelburne police had the vehicle near Mercy Anderson Road; Greenfield requests ID only; no physical altercation took place, and no property was damaged.
6:40 p.m. — Suspicious activity reported from area of the Greenfield High School; caller from the AT&T store on Federal Street about a white male hanging around near the edge of the field hockey game, and he was watching the game, and talking to himself; the caller has seen the subject in the area previously, and was exhibiting similar odd behavior; officer located the male, and he was spoken to by the officer, and the man was identified.
7:05 p.m. — Request that police check the welfare of a person on Traver Court; the caller states when he checked on his friend not long ago, the male was extremely intoxicated, and would like police to check on him due to safety; officer and Medcare en route; the known male was located, highly intoxicated, and reported drinking three pints of vodka; Medcare arrived and transported the male to Baystate Franklin Medical Center.
7:55 p.m. — Officers at Sandri StopSmart on Federal Street to serve a warrant; arrested was Randy J. Dillon, 26, of Coolidge Avenue, Greenfield, on the warrant.
8:28 p.m. — Caller from Congress Street reports her estranged husband texted her saying that he was going to jump off the French King Bridge; the reporting person advised the male has had a past history of suicide statements; the caller also advised they got into a dispute earlier about their relationship; while attempting to ping the subscriber’s phone, officers located the male by the French King Bridge.
9;40 p.m. — Dispatch received a 911 abandoned call from The Key Starr program on Park Street; officers sent; an upset client called the 911; an employee on scene advising he doesn’t want police response; the female in the background in emotional distress, and can be heard screaming; the involved female was refusing to listen to staff members; she was trying to call her grandmother and dialed 911; no police services needed.
8:05 a.m. — Vandalism reported on Montague City Road; car smeared with tomatoes; Reporting person is at work, but will call when she gets home to have an officer come take a look.
8:39 a.m. — Caller reports a metal object in the road at the General Pierce Bridge on Montague City Road; officer advised it was a water valve cap that overturned, and he put it back in place.
8:25 a.m. — Control advised they got a call in regards to cows loose on the caller’s property off of Town Farm Road, and that it has been an ongoing issue; the owner of the cows was spoken with in regards to the complaint, and advised he is trying to fix the perimeter fence; the reporting person was referred to the ACO.
11:13 a.m. — Control advises the Fire Department is responding to the OIC building for a female who made suicide statements to her doctor; she was transported to Athol Memorial Hospital for evaluation.
4:50 p.m. — While on patrol, an officer came across a two-car accident on East Main Street at Water Street; found to be a minor crash with no personal injuries; damage was under $1,000, and the operators exchanged information.
9:15 p.m. — Control reports a car-versus-deer accident; officer found that two cars collided with the deer, on West Orange Road; reports taken; no mention of the deer.
