ROWE — The May 15 town election, which had only one contested race for the Rowe Town Library board of trustees, saw all positions filled with the exception of a Finance Committee seat that remains to be determined.
Town Clerk Paul McLatchy III explained that Laurie Pike, who was the write-in winner of both a three-year seat and a two-year seat on the Finance Committee, will have to decide within 30 days which term she wants, if she chooses to accept the role. The other seat will be filled through a joint appointment by the Selectboard and remaining Finance Committee members.
Christopher Hyytinen was elected to the third available Finance Committee seat, with a three-year term.
Eighty-three of the town’s 317 registered voters cast their ballots, making for a voter turnout of 26.2 percent, McLatchy said. The only contested race was for the Rowe Town Library board of trustees, which saw Catherine Snyder re-elected to a three-year term with 61 votes over Lauren Werner’s 19.
The remaining winners of the uncontested races are as follows:
■Board of Assessors, three-year term — Ellen Miller
■Board of Health, three-year term — Herbert Butzke
■Selectboard, three-year term — Charles Sokol
■Cemetery Commission, three-year term — Jay Williams
■Cemetery Commission, two-year term — Joanne Semanie
■Planning Board, five-year term — Paul McLatchy III
