Thank you, Anita Fritz, for covering the Community That Care Coalition’s screening of the film “I’m Not Racist … Am I?” I’m writing to add one point. It was not only dozens but hundreds who tuned in. The coalition has statistics from GCTV and Facebook Live showing that about 750 devices logged in for the event, so if more than one person was watching at some devices, upwards of 1,000 people participated.
It was an opportunity for local community members to see a diverse group of young people diving deep into what race and racism means in America, and to discuss what that has to do with us here in Franklin County. Residents of Franklin County really care about racial justice and want to participate in the conversation and make a difference.
