WARWICK — The Selectboard voted to delay this year’s Annual Town Meeting during a teleconference meeting on Tuesday.
No new date for the Annual Town Meeting has been set at this time. The Selectboard also approved polling hours for the town election, to be held May 18 from 3 to 7 p.m.
“There are no actual races to be decided this year, so we’ll hold abbreviated hours for folks to come to Town Hall,” Selectboard Chair Lawrence “Doc” Pruyne said.
All the positions up for election this year are, so far, running unopposed. Pruyne said it is unlikely the town will ultimately cancel the election.
While in-person voting is an option, Pruyne and Town Coordinator David Young said residents can request a mail-in or absentee ballot from the town clerk by emailing townclerk@town.warwick.ma.us.
WARWICK — The Selectboard voted to hire Amanda Carey as town secretary, at a rate of $15 per hour, during its teleconference meeting on Tuesday.
