Easter bells in hope and love

Churches in the North Quabbin region will join together to celebrate the Risen Christ on Easter Sunday morning by ringing the bells on April 12 at 10 a.m. We are doing what we can to support, through prayer and actions, the essential workers, those who bring comfort and healing to the sick, those who are teaching at home, and all those who keep us safe, nourished and informed. We see the hope and love of others in so many ways during these uncertain and scary times.

Churches that are joining in this “Easter Ring” are: Athol Congregational Church UCC, First Universalist Church of Orange, Starrett Memorial United Methodist Church, South Athol UMC, the Community Church of North Orange and Tully, and Orange United Methodist Church.

‘Because Love Endures’: Sunday at First Parish Unitarian

NORTHFIELD — Sometimes people ask why Unitarian Universalists celebrate Easter when we don’t all agree with traditional Christian teachings. We celebrate Easter because it is part of our history and heritage and because we believe there are many ways to interpret ancient teachings. We celebrate Easter because, no matter what, love endures. Anyone who might be looking for a non-traditional Easter message is welcome to join us on-line at 9 am.

Children are invited to log into the same link on a separate device and then join their families for the first part of the service. After a time for all ages, children will then be invited into a break-out room for time together led by Beckley Wooster.

The videoconference will convene using the same Zoom link as previous Sundays under social isolation. Anyone wishing to obtain the link for video or voice participation in the service may send a request to fpnorthfieldma@gmail.com.
