Paul Helbig recorded his first career hole-in-one Sunday when he aced the 175-yard sixth hole at the Northfield Golf Course.

Helbig teed off from the blue tees for his ace, a feat that was witnessed by David Wells and Joel Monette.

CFC Mixed Couples

Carl and Jody Hoynoski shot a 63 Saturday to win the Mixed Couples Championship at Crumpin-Fox Club in Bernardston.

Three teams — Duncan and Jackie Elliott, Liz Dolby and Tony Wonseski, and Corrine Sysun and Phil Phillips — tied for second place with a 66.

Basketball

DRIVE Summer Camp

The DRIVE Hoops Summer Basketball Clinic will take place from July 18 through July 22 from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. at Greenfield High School.

The clinic is open for boys and girls ages 7 through 14 and will be run by GHS girls’ coach John Hickey and Hopkins Academy boys’ coach Angelo Thomas, as well player-coaches from GHS.

Orange Rec signups

The Orange Recreation Association Basketball Clinic is taking registrations for boys and girls entering grades 4 through 9 this fall.

There are two sessions being offered, the first from July 11 through 15, and the second from July 18 through 22, each running from 8:30 a.m. until 2 p.m. Only 40 players will be allotted per session. The fee includes breakfast, lunch, T-shirt and five days of basketball skills, drills, scrimmages and fun.

Directed by Helene Holmes, the program is held at the Fisher Hill School in Orange, from 8:30 a.m. until 2 p.m. each weekday.

Erving Rec soccer camps

The Erving Recreation Commission, in conjunction with the Challenger British Soccer Camp program, will hold numerous soccer games at Erving Elementary School from July 18-22.

The camps offer the following: Mini Soccer (ages 3 to 6, from 8 to 9 a.m., $85), Half Day (ages 7 to 14, 9 a.m. until noon, $145), Full Day (ages 8 to 14, 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., $190) and High School (ages 13 to 18, 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., $100).
