Basketball Skills & Drills begins Saturday. The youngest players are introduced to the game of basketball and basic ball handling skills like passing, dribbling and shooting. Children at higher levels continue to develop basic skills and begin to learn the rules of the game with a focus on offense and ball handling and shooting technique. Teamwork is emphasized and passing, shooting and defensive skills are strengthened. For children ages 4 to 5; 6 to 9; and 10 to 12. Fees start at $25 for eight weeks of classes.
Sunday Fundays are every Sunday from 3 to 5:30 p.m. Family swim/pool from 3 to 4:30 p.m. Fit family workout and gym from 3 to 3:45. Open gymnastics from 4 to 5:30. Open gym games from 4 to 5:30. Free for Y family members. Day pass required for other families.
Learn to Dance: Nov. 6, the waltz, 7:30 to 9 p.m. in the Adams Room. Free for Y members; $5 per person, per night for non-members. Learn a new dance, practice a dance you already know or dust off those dancing moves. Come with a partner or by yourself. Both a leader and a follower will dance with you and show you the ropes.
Second Saturday Health Series: Anti-inflammatory diets and lifestyles. Join dietitian Vanessa Ames as she discusses foods that can cause inflammation and the best foods to eat to avoid inflammation. Nov. 9, 10 to 11 a.m. in the YMCA Social Room. Free and open to all.

Aqua Mash-Up: All fitness levels are welcome in this fun class that takes place in the shallow and deep end. Combines core strengthening, muscle toning, flexibility and cardio exercises. Mondays and Wednesdays at 5:45 p.m.
