Schwanz, 140 Prentiss St., turned in papers for the office, but has announced that he will not be able to serve in the position due to a change of circumstances. He was unable to withdraw by the deadline, so his name will appear on the ballot. He asks that people do not vote for him on election day.
In addition, a five-year seat is open for the Housing Authority. There are no candidates on the ballot for this seat.
