NORTHFIELD — Two astronomers from the Aldrich Astronomical Society will teach basic star-locating techniques on the Northfield Library’s newly acquired telescope, which is available to borrow. The program is Friday at 6 p.m. Admission is free and open to all ages. Attendees will practice outside, weather permitting, and see objects like the rings of Saturn, Jupiter’s moons and Orion’s belt.
NORTHFIELD — “Season of Light” is the next exhibit at the Deerfield Valley Art Association’s gallery in Northfield, running from Nov. 16 to Dec. 23. The show features a mix of art from Association members, with new works for sale in the gift shop. An artists’ reception will be held Sunday, Nov. 18 from 1 p.m. to 3.

BERNARDSTON — An attorney will discuss legal issues relevant to seniors, like retirement planning, Medicaid and guardianship, at the Bernardston Senior Center on Wednesday, Nov. 14 from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30.
