WENDELL — Monday’s election decided three races for posts responsible for the town’s roads, cemeteries and trees.
Incumbent Peter Zera beat challenger Jon Bowers for the job of tree warden, 90-39.
Bowers also challenged incumbent Richard Mackey for a seat on the Cemetery Commission, winning by a single vote, 65-64.
Mackey also sought a seat on the Road Commission, running against Wayne Leonard. Leonard won 100-27.
Uncontested on the ballot, the following posts will be filled by the following residents, all incumbents unless otherwise noted:
Selectboard, Christine Heard; Board of Assessors, nominee Anna Seeger; Board of Health, Nina Keller; Planning Board, Christopher Parker; moderator, Kathleen Nolan; constable, Anne Diemand Bucci; Library Trustees, Laurel Brenneman and Phyllis Lawrence.
No papers were taken out for a three-year term on the School Committee and while there were write-ins, all were tied.
Turnout was strong, with 144 of 690 voters turning out, 20.9 percent.
