“I Am My Own Wife,” a Pulitzer Prize-winning play by Doug Wright, will be performed at the First Congregational Church of Ashfield, 429 Main St. in Ashfield between May 31 and June 9.
The 90-minute play directed by Trey Morehouse tells the true story of a transgender woman who survived in Nazi Berlin. The fascinating life story of Charlotte von Mahlsdorf is portrayed by Rylan Morsbach.
Some performances will be followed by discussion. Performance dates and times are: May 31 at 7 p.m., June 1 and 2 at 8 p.m., June 3 at 4 p.m., June 6 and 7 at 7 p.m., and June 8 and 9 at 8 p.m.
