New broadband panel formed

COLRAIN — Selectmen have appointed a new Last Mile Advisory Committee to advise the board as it moves through the broadband build-out process. However, two more seats on that board are available to interested residents.

Committee members currently include: Selectmen Eileen Sauvageau, Town Coordinator Kevin Fox, Finance Committee member Lynn DiTullio, Treasurer Paula Harrison and Fran Ryan.

The Board of Selectmen is serving as the town’s MLP (Municipal Light Plant) overseeing board, to meet the state’s requirement for such a board and the new committee is to assist the MLP board in completing the town’s broadband build-out. Those who want to join the committee are asked to send a letter of interest to Fox at Town Office, 55 Main Road, Colrain, MA 01340.
