ORANGE — Mia Haringstad, tourism director of the North Quabbin Chamber of Commerce & Visitors Bureau, is set to be a guest speaker at the North Quabbin Trails Association’s “Gathering” at 6 p.m. at the Orange Innovation Center on Monday.
According to association President Bobby Curley, Haringstad will also unveil the chamber’s new alliance with the North Quabbin Trails Association.
PETERSHAM — The North Quabbin Community Coalition plans to team up with Heywood Healthcare at the Quabbin Retreat site in Petersham for an opioid overdose awareness and Narcan administration training session on Thursday. The training will begin with a presentation by Athol Det. Peter Buck (a drug recognition expert) and then Liz Whynott of Tapestry Health will introduce Narcan and provide kits.
The NQCC held a similar training session with the regional opioid task force, the Orange Board of Health and Tapestry Health a couple of weeks ago.
