There is a residence in Washington, D.C.
we call it the White House.
And over the years many presidents
have dishonored their oaths.
We now know 47 is the worst one.

The Speaker of the House,
conceded its constitutional duties
to 47, a rogue president.
Congressional Republicans
passed the “Big Ugly Bill”
gifting excessive tax breaks
to CEOs and the wealthiest one percent.

Our government has two chambers — the Senate and the House.
The Republican members of the 119th Congress
cast votes and conduct bogus hearings
to appease and please 47,
our democracy’s disassembler,
to whom they grovel on bended knees.

The only thing 47 needs
to continue his authoritarian ascent
is for voters to continue
to believe his faux promises,
propaganda, “newspeak”
and to forget that he doesn’t deliver
nor do his accomplices.

47 is only satisfied when he
is enriching his family’s wealth
by pilfering our country’s treasury
while pretending to promote our national security,
disregarding our citizen’s health care needs,
their financial pressures and civil liberties.

Oh, voters, tell your children
not like so many of us to succumb,
trusting our lives and fortunes to
47’s delusional fantasies
and now watching America’s greatness
and 80 years of world order being undone.

Citizens to disrupt and end 47’s authoritarian schemes
requires our relentless commitment to “No Kings” protests,
sign making, stand outs, letter writing, telephoning and
encouraging our friends and neighbors to register to vote
and most importantly of all getting an overwhelming
number of us to come out and vote.
