March 27: Teen Night at Dickinson Memorial Library
NORTHFIELD — Dickinson Memorial Library, in collaboration with the Northfield Recreation Commission, will host a Teen Night for ages 13 to 19 on Friday, March 27, from 6 to 8 p.m. There will be crafts, pizza and games.
Next chicken pot pie dinner set for March 28
BERNARDSTON — The Bernardston Kiwanis Club’s chicken pot pie dinner will return for its third meal on Saturday, March 28, from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at the United Church of Bernardston.
Dinners are $15 for adults and $5 for children. The meals include chicken pot pie, butternut squash, cranberry sauce and dinner rolls, along with carrot cake for dessert. Frozen chicken pot pies will also be available to purchase.
Unlike the past two meals, this dinner will have a second act. The Kiwanis Club is partnering with Pioneer Valley Regional School to provide a “dinner and a show” discount for those who dine at the church before catching the school’s spring production of “High School Musical” at 7 p.m. Those who attend the dinner and bring their Kiwanis ticket to the school will be admitted to the show for free.
“We’re just glad we can be a part of that,” said Kiwanis Club member Dan Devine.
Proceeds from the dinner and raffle will help fund Pioneer middle schoolers’ field trip to the Morse Hill Outdoor Education Center in Shutesbury for “team-building” activities like a ropes course, Devine said.
“This is our chance to give back to the kids at the school,” Devine said. “It’s a lot of work, but it’s well worth it.”

Next puzzle swap set for April 4
NORTHFIELD — The next puzzle swap at Dickinson Memorial Library will be held on Saturday, April 4, from 10 to 11:30 a.m.
Visitors are advised to park behind the library and come in through the side door, then turn left to find the Community Room containing the puzzles. Attendees can take as many puzzles as they want and keep them as long as they need.

Library has new website
NORTHFIELD — Dickinson Memorial Library has a new website at northfield.cwmars.org.
Despite the new domain name, the library advises that the former website, northfieldpubliclibrary.org, will serve as a redirect page for several months.
