South Deerfield, MA – Cecelia A Hubbard (Cece), 95, of North Hillside Rd., passed away Saturday March 7, 2026, at home surrounded by her loving family. Born in Greenfield July 12, 1930, the daughter of Louis and Mary (Filion) Cardaropoli. Cece attended local schools and graduated from Greenfield High class of 1947.
Cece married Carlton F. Hubbard July 9, 1947, and moved to Norfolk Virgina where Carlton was stationed in the US Navy, until moving back to Greenfield to raise their family and remained a long-time resident finally moving to South Deerfield. Cece was a homemaker. Her main focus was caring for and loving the time spent with her children and grandchildren.
Cece loved to travel with her husband (a long-distance truck driver) and yearly trips to Hampton Beach with daughters and family members, also several trips to Nashville Tennessee. She also loved country music, puzzles of many kinds and country concerts.
Cece was predeceased by her Husband, two daughters; Linda L. Stebbins and Arlene Goodwin, and her brothers; David, Francis, William, Paul, and Kenneth Cardaropoli.
Cece is survived by her children Kenneth (Michele) Hubbard of Montague, Carlton (Sherry) Hubbard of Bernardston, Kathy (Ed) Lovett of Greenfield, and Pat (David) Vielmetti of South Deerfield along with 22 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren 5 great great grandchildren along with several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday March 18, 2026, at 11 AM at the United Church of Bernardston, 58 Church St., Bernardston MA. A reception at Terrazza Restaurant, 244 Country Club Rd Greenfield, MA, will follow immediately after the church services. A private burial will be held at Center Cemetery in Bernardston in the spring.
