Monday, Dec. 22
11:01 a.m. — Disturbance reported on Main Street. Caller reports two parties are arguing, not physical at this time. No disturbance upon arrival. Male party got into a verbal argument but then walked away. Unable to locate the other involved party.
12:10 p.m. — Parking problem reported at Sanderson and High streets. Multiple cars parked on both sides of the road where there are “no parking” signs. Street still passable. Unable to make contact with any owners/operators. Parking citations issued to all vehicles/owners.
1:53 p.m. — Caller reports seeing a male hit and drag his dog on its back at Main and Miles streets, so she honked her horn at him and he approached her car, calling her names and being threatening. Unable to locate male party. Dog was observed earlier in the day and it did not appear to be unwell or injured. Animal control officer will follow up.
5:42 p.m. — Reporting party states his wife received calls from a private number stating she has four different warrants and they have to pay them to have them cleared. Confirmed to be a scam, no money sent. Reporting party’s wife was advised she has no warrants.
Tuesday, Dec. 23
7:51 a.m. — Reporting party reports having a verbal exchange with a homeless male with a small dog that he believes is staying in Highland Park. Stated this is the second time that this has happened while the reporting party was walking his own dog. He is uncomfortable with the male’s presence in his neighborhood and reports that the male is confrontational if they cross paths. No overt threats have been made. Reporting party was advised to contact police at the time of the incident so that an officer can respond in real time.
12:57 p.m. — Party is upset that the construction company is offloading equipment at the Mill House property on Wells Street. Reporting party was advised that if management at Mill House Apartments has an issue with the equipment there, the construction company can be contacted.
8:51 p.m. — Emily B. Bauer, 40, of Maple Street in Greenfield, was arrested on charges of trafficking in cocaine (18 grams or more but less than 36 grams), possession of a Class A drug, possession of a Class B drug (two counts), possess with intent to distribute a Class E drug, withholding evidence from a criminal processing and conspiracy to violate drug law.
Wednesday, Dec. 24
8:54 a.m. — Report of an unwanted person at CVS Pharmacy on Federal Street. Reporting party states a female party is trying to get in the pharmacy and has been going in and out of the bathroom talking to herself. Female party was cooperative and left when asked.
1:00 p.m. — Report of shoplifting at Stop & Shop on the French King Highway. Male in the driver’s seat with a female passenger and a dog. Patrick C. O’Malley, 57, of 11th Street in Turners Falls, was arrested on charges of shoplifting by asportation, resisting arrest and failure to stop for police.
7:17 p.m. — Reporting party states a store clerk at the F.L. Roberts gas station on Mohawk Trail sold her a lottery ticket from a past drawing. States she gave the clerk $10 and he handed her a ticket from the top of the machine stating that someone had him run it and was unable to pay for it. When she got home, she reportedly realized it was from a previous drawing. Waiting for pictures of the Powerball ticket. Will investigate further.
Thursday, Dec. 25
1:24 a.m. — Security alarm sounding at Speedway on Federal Street. Alarm company reports attempted breaking and entering. Someone reportedly threw a cinder block at the door, failed to make entry, then left. Camera could only see dark clothes. Received a 911 call from a male party stating he was the one who threw the cinder block. Party was advised officers were going to come speak with him. Key holder arrived and said he will remain on scene until maintenance personnel can come fix the door. He will provide video as well. Joseph Loyal Coleman, 23, of High Street in Greenfield, was arrested on charges of vandalizing property and attempting to commit a crime.
1:24 p.m. — Reporting party found an arrow in the side of his house’s foundation on Place Terrace. Worried it came from a neighbor’s yard and a person could have been hit by it. Checked with neighbors on Wells and Cypress streets, who all reported they have not seen anyone shooting arrows.
Friday, Dec. 26
9:33 a.m. — Malicious destruction reported on Green River Road. Mailbox smashed two days earlier. Report issued.
11:19 a.m. — Joseph F. Legere, 44, of Conway Street in Greenfield, was arrested on charges of possession of a Class B drug (subsequent offense) and possession of ammunition without an FID card.
4:15 p.m. — Vandalism reported on Chapman Street. Reporting party reports someone egged his car last night. Wanted the incident documented due to it being the second time it had happened in a month and a half. He also advised he will be installing security cameras and will contact police if he captures anything on the cameras. Services rendered.
8:47 p.m. — Reporting party states he plugged in his electric vehicle at Cartelli Ford and Toyota of Greenfield on Main Street and is unable to get it unplugged. He states the plug seems stuck. Reporting party was able to remove the plug from his car.
Saturday, Dec. 27
10:10 a.m. — Officer attempting to serve a warrant at Speedway on Federal Street. Kelley Austin, 45, homeless of Greenfield, was arrested on two warrants.
3:34 p.m. — Reporting party states her card is stuck in the ATM at M&T Bank on Federal Street. Advised reporting party that she should call the bank for assistance.
Sunday, Dec. 28
12:00 a.m. — Officer stopping a vehicle on Deerfield Street. Cody Dixon Strakose-Griffin, 30, of Jacksonville Road in Colrain, was arrested on charges of a marked lanes violation, negligent operation of a motor vehicle and OUI-liquor over .08%
10:36 p.m. — Bag of pills found at McDonald’s on the Mohawk Trail. Officer retrieved the pills. Pills were destroyed.
Monday, Dec. 29
7:19 a.m. — Jordan Louis Arroyo, 19, of Springfield, was arrested on charges of trafficking in cocaine (200 grams or more) and conspiracy to violate drug law. Jafet I. Robles, 23, also of Springfield, was arrested on the same two charges.
1:09 p.m. — Group of people in the entryway of the substation. Male party stated he fell on ice and his legs felt weak. Stated he did not hit his head or get hurt in the fall, was just unsure why his legs were unstable. Party was given a courtesy ride give to the hospital.
2:00 p.m. — Caller on Chapman Street reports a male party broke her iPad. Requested police speak with him to make him pay for it. Reporting party was advised that this is not something the police can help with.
7:55 p.m. — Carlos Ruiz, 47, of Harris Court in Greenfield, was arrested on charges of possession with intent to distribute a Class B drug and conspiracy to violate drug law.
Tuesday, Dec. 30
9:36 a.m. — Report of a raccoon under the overhang at Greenfield Farmers Cooperative Exchange on High Street, near the entrance. Animal was moved along.
5:12 p.m. — Traffic stop at Federal and Osgood streets. Pamela M. Kramer, 60, of Worcester, was arrested on a warrant.
11:38 p.m. — Alex Zabnicki, 32, of Harrison Avenue in Greenfield, was arrested on a warrant.
Wednesday, Dec. 31
12:52 a.m. — Suspicious activity reported at Connections on Kenwood Street. Caller reports someone is trying to get into the building. Nicholas McKinnon, 29, of Kenwood Street in Greenfield, was arrested on a warrant and as a fugitive from justice on a court warrant.
11:03 a.m. — Reporting party states he was coming out of the Shell gas station and a large dump truck coming out of Big Y on the Mohawk Trail turned left and in front of him. Caller felt that the way the traffic lights are set is dangerous. Complaint passed along to the Massachusetts Department of Transportation.
7:41 p.m. — Report of an unwanted person on High Street. Party was advised he cannot be using and drinking while living there, but he is refusing to follow the rules and refusing to leave. Joseph Edward Merriam, 37, of High Street in Greenfield, was arrested on a warrant.
Thursday, Jan. 1
4:12 p.m. — Reporting party from Forbes Court states maintenance removed her bathroom window the day before and did not replace it. Property manager contacted, will get maintenance to replace the window. Services rendered.
7:57 p.m. — Daniel Michael Chambers, 42, of Bradford Drive in Greenfield, was arrested on Bradford Drive on a warrant.
Friday, Jan. 2
11:24 a.m. — Report of a vehicle operating erratically on Bernardston Road. Reporting party who was traveling behind the vehicle states it drove over a median in front of Antonio’s II Pizza & Grinders in Bernardston, continued to Bernardston Road in Greenfield, turned left onto Wildwood Avenue and then onto Eastern Avenue. Caller advised the vehicle was all over the road, swerving. Driver admitted to police that his dog being on his lap had impacting his driving. Was advised of the danger of this.
3:01 p.m. — Received a snow complaint on Congress Street. Reporting party was concerned that at least one residence in the area wasn’t shoveling their sidewalk. Party was advised the area would be checked.
Saturday, Jan. 3
12:40 p.m. — Caller from Earl Avenue reports she lent her car to a friend yesterday to go to the store and they have not returned the car. Spoke to reporting party and advised of the process for filing a use without authority report. Called Montague Police Department and asked if they could check the trailer park near the airport for the vehicle. Montague Police determined the vehicle was not at the residence. No answer at the door. Report issued.
Sunday, Jan. 4
12:33 a.m. — Officer stopping a vehicle near the town line on Deerfield Street. Sheena Marie Tassone, 41, of Arch Place in Greenfield, was arrested on charges of possession of a Class A drug and operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license. Also arrested was Michael Sean Rivers, 46, of River Road in Whately, on a charge of possession of a Class B drug (subsequent offense).
4:24 p.m. — Reporting party advises she was walking around her neighborhood and observed someone in a silver sedan, possibly a Hyundai Elantra, with two dogs in the back take a picture of her home on Little Avenue. Unable to get a plate. Documented for now.
5:40 p.m. — Brandy Nicole Ciolino, 33, of West Mountain Road in Bernardston, was arrested on Conway Street on two warrants.
7:04 p.m. — Ashley Blanchard, 32, of Chapman Street in Greenfield, was arrested on Conway Street on three warrants.
