Joanne M. Waidlich

Millers Falls, MA – Joanne Marie Waidlich, 76, passed away Monday, January 12, 2026, at Charlene Manor in Greenfield, MA. Joanne was born in Montague on June 18, 1949, to Joseph Waidlich and Emilie (Lahoski) Waidlich. She attended Montague schools, graduating in 1967 from Turners Falls High School. She also attended Greenfield Community College. Joanne was employed as an administrative assistant at the University of Massachusetts in Amherst, Ma and later for 13 years at Greenfield Savings Bank in Greenfield, MA.

Joanne enjoyed Polish music and co-hosted a Polish music radio program at WMUA every Saturday morning for many years. She loved to travel; visiting Poland and making trips to the Caribbean and many trips within the United States were highlights in her life. Joanne loved visiting with her friends and was also an avid reader.

Joanne is survived by her sister, Jeanne Kozloski of Millers Falls, a niece, Mindy Helie (Derek) of Greenfield, a nephew, Jordan Kozloski of Turners Falls, as well as three great nieces, a great nephew and many cousins.

A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday 1/20 at Our Lady of Peace Church, 90 Seventh St., Turners Falls, MA. Burial to follow at Our Lady of Czestochowa Cemetery in Turners Falls.

A calling hour will be held from 9:30am-10:30am at the Kostanski Funeral Home, 1 Kostanski Sq., Turners Falls, MA.
