The Greenfield Suburban boys basketball teams swept another weekend of hoops competition after victories on Dec. 13 and Dec. 14.
The 7th and 8th grade team won, 62-34, at South Hadley on Saturday. Casey Burke led Greenfield with 13 points. Xaviey Reynolds (11 points) and JJ Bones (10 points) were both in double figures.
On Sunday, both Suburban teams hosted Hampshire Regional. The 5th and 6th grade team won a close game over the Red Raiders, 52-46. Lobsang Jamyang dropped 25 points for the Wave. Toby Campbell added 17 points, with Grabiel Ortiz chipping in with nine. Orion Ortiz’s tenacious effort led the defense.
The 7th and 8th grade team cruised past the Red Raiders, 68-41. Bones led all scorers with 22 points. Philip Brodeur and Burke both scored 10 points for the Green Wave. Mahir Patel added eight points in the win.
