Thomas C. McLellan

Greenfield, MA – Thomas C. McLellan, 93, of Lovers Lane passed away peacefully on December 4, 2025. He was born in Greenfield on August 28, 1932, the son of Francis and Clara McLellan. Thomas was a graduate of Deerfield Academy and received his associate’s degree from Greenfield Community College.

Tom served in the United States Army as a military policeman, stationed in Puerto Rico, during the Korean War.

He was a purchasing manager for Greenfield Tap & Die for many years before his retirement.

Tom was very pleased to serve the town of Greenfield on both the Town Council and the Zoning Board.

He enjoyed playing cribbage, watching sports, reading novels, and spending time with family. He loved going to Nova Scotia, where he owned an oceanfront cottage.

Among his survivors, Tom leaves his wife, Carolyn McLellan; a daughter, Cynthia A. Meaux and her husband Thomas of Belchertown; a son, John F. McLellan and his wife Mary of Southington, CT; three grandchildren, Elizabeth Meaux, Sarah Dvorchak and her husband Matt and Nathan Meaux and her wife Lyndsay; and three great grandchildren.

Tom was predeceased by his first wife, Shirley A. (Hutchinson) McLellan in 1993 and a daughter, Karen McLellan in 2019. He was also predeceased by his faithful companion Monty, a golden retriever.

Funeral services and burial will be private.
