Christmas Bazaar set for Saturday

TURNERS FALLS — Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, 84 K St., will
hold its 2025 Christmas Bazaar on Saturday Dec. 6 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

All are welcome to attend this Polish-themed event. This annual event has expanded options for sale of kielbasa, kiszka, rye breads, poppy seed rolls, cheese and fruit-filled babkas, angel wings called chrusciki, plus paczki (Polish donut), kapusta (sauerkraut with pork) and bigos, known as hunter’s stew.

Jumbo pierogi from the St. Hyacinth Pierogi Makers will be on sale in frozen packs of six for $10. Coffee, donuts and homemade muffins will be available in the morning, and starting at 10 a.m., a Polish Plate consisting of kielbasa in an apricot Cossack sauce, seasoned mashed potatoes, haluski, carrots, red cabbage salad, rye bread and a Polish pickle will be available for $15. Corn chowder, hot dogs, and a kielbasa sandwich also will be available.

In addition, arts & crafts will be for sale, along with baked goods. Several raffles will be on site.

K Street Holiday Market Saturday

TURNERS FALLS — Homemade gifts will be on sale in Turners Falls as part of the Holiday Artisan Market at 41 K St., the former Grace Church, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 6.

Makers from across the Pioneer Valley and southern Vermont will have a variety of gifts on sale, including jewelry, homeware, accessories, artisanal soaps and more. Admission is free.

Safe Passage donations still being accepted FCTS

MONTAGUE — Donations to the Northampton-based domestic violence support organization Safe Passage will continue until Dec. 31 after a team from the Franklin County Technical School participates in the annual Hot Chocolate Run on Sunday, Dec. 7.

According to Franklin Tech, the deadline for donations to determine the prize-winning fundraisers are due by 8:59 p.m. Friday, Dec. 5, fundraising for Safe Passage will continue until the end of the month.

This is the first time the school is participating in the run, with a team made up by science teacher Daniel Prasol, Varsity Boys and Girls Cross Country Head Coach Oliver Rodgers, and students Jacob Thomas, Will Thomas, Nick Prasol, Liam Bliss, Molly Howe and Zoe Morrison.

Sound bath session at Erving Public Library

ERVING — Yogi Brandy Lefsyk will offer a morning sound bath at the Erving Public Library, 2 Care Drive, on Sunday, Dec. 7, from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

Guests are encouraged to bring their own yoga mats, and chairs will be available for those who need them. Limited spots are available, and it is first-come, first-served.

Dental care and insurance help on-deck for Brick House

TURNERS FALLS — The Brick House Community Center and the Franklin County Community Health Center is offering a Pop-Up Dental Health and Health Insurance Support event on Monday, Dec. 8 starting at 9:30 a.m.

The Dental Hygienist will be available from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., and their Health Insurance Navigator will be there from 9:30 a.m. until noon. No appointment is necessary, and service is on a first come, first serve basis.

Federation for Children with Special Needs visit Brick House

TURNERS FALLS — The Brick House Community Resource Center, 24 3rd St., is hosting the Federation for Children with Special Needs on Thursday, Dec. 11 at 10:30 a.m.

Parents and caregivers of kids who have special needs will have the chance to learn about how the federation can support their efforts to get needed services.

The Federation for Children with Special Needs advocates for families by supporting them, including offering support groups and resources.

Marina Goldman to share vision for Montague at Greenfield Savings Band

TURNERS FALLS — Selectboard member Marina Goldman, elected in May, will be at the Turners Falls branch of the Greenfield Savings bank from 1 to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 13.

Goldman will share her vision for the five villages over the next few years, and will take questions and comments during the hour. All are welcome, and light refreshments will be provided.
