DEERFIELD — A motorcyclist was seriously injured as a result of an accident near 147 Mill Village Road on Friday evening.
Deerfield Police and Fire departments, as well as South County EMS, responded at around 7 p.m. When officers arrived, the motorcyclist was located in a field with serious injuries, according to Detective Sgt. Adam Sokoloski.
The patient was transported by South County EMS to Baystate Medical Center in Springfield.
Mill Village Road was closed as a result for about two hours before reopening to traffic at 9 p.m.
Sokoloski said the crash remains under investigation by the Deerfield Police Department, with assistance from the Northwestern District Attorney’s Office and the Massachusetts State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section (CARS).
