The Leyden Democratic Committee will meet on Tuesday, Aug. 28 at 7 p.m. at the Leyden Town Hall to consider endorsing primary candidates.
Candidates for contested primary seats will be notified of the meeting so that they can attend this meeting or send a representative.
There will also be a meeting to prepare for the general election on Tuesday, Sept. 25 at 7 p.m. at the Leyden Town Hall.
This year’s primary election will take place on Sept. 4 and polls will be open from 7 a.m. until 8 p.m.
Voters are reminded that if they will be unable to make it to the polls on Sept. 4 that they can contact the Town Clerk for an absentee ballot.
