Being a patron of Hubie’s and a former tavern owner in Turners Falls for 28 years, I know first hand what Hubie’s is putting up with. I say that people who move into a business district should know what to expect. A downtown area is not a quiet little residential area. People who work or moms who raise children at home deserve to get out, have a drink, listen to some good music and relax. Even doctors advise that relaxation and relieving stress is good for one’s health. It’s therapeutic. I am sure that the few people who are complaining about the noise from Hubie’s do not speak for the whole town.
