Why do motorists race up to the red lights on the highways and streets? The motorist is not going anywhere until the signal changes. A theory exists that the better the interactions with others, the less one needs to beat another with your vehicle on the roads.

Why not try to say “Hello” or “Hi” or “How are things going?” to one you do not know? See if you feel better about yourself. Reach out. There are folks who struggle and believe their problems are big! There are people who are just lonely, and need someone to notice them.

Once in a while you have a good story you can share with others.

One day, a young man appeared to be unhappy. I ignored him. Later he took his life. Maybe I could have encouraged him to wait one more day? There are folks with heavier crosses than us, and we fail to see them.

Why use directional signals? Thoughtful drivers do signal to let others know what they are doing. Why not look for these directional lights and share the road. I was told that “it is not my road, but our road.”

Who said, “Christianity has not failed. It’s never been tried”?
